No Cancellations accepted within 15 business days of the start of the class

- The laptop is covered under limited warranty during the class. We do not provide warranty on the free laptop after the class.

- While we will make every effort to stick to the specification of the laptop as published on the website, the specification and model of the laptop may change because of availability and requirements of the class.

- The Certification Bootcamp does not guarantee your passing the Linux certification exams.

Passing the certification exams will depend on your commitment. We encourage you to complete all assignments given during the bootcamp and spend additional time getting familiar with Linux on the laptop before appearing in the exam.

- Students are responsible for their own lodging.

- At times, due to some unavoidable circumstances we must change a course date, course location, or postpone a course. We will try to give the customer as much advance notice as possible of any such change. Dead pixel policy: In line with industry standards LinuxCertified maintains a fair policy regarding dead/bad pixels. E.g. this is an excerpt from Apple's website:

"With the millions of subpixels on a display, it is quite possible to have a low number of faulty transistors on an LCD. Therefore, a certain number of subpixel anomalies is considered acceptable. Rejecting all but perfect LCD panels would significantly increase the retail price for products using LCD displays."

In general we assume a LCD to be acceptable as long as it has four or less bad pixels. Individual cases can certainly be reviewed, e.g. if all of these bad pixels are clustered right at the center of the screen.

For customers outside USA: Returns will be charged a $50 customs-handling fee.

Special note for customers buying laptops with Windows XP (e.g. dual boot configuration): If you need to return the laptop for any reason, we cannot take a return of Windows XP. Please keep the OS CD and the key sticker. This is because of the licensing constraints placed by Windows XP.

Linux Distribution: Unless specifically mentioned, all Linux laptops will ship with downloaded/copied CDs version of the Linux distribution.

Support: The support for laptops is limited to hardware and drivers of core hardware components. Although, in general, we do help out customers with Linux configuration issues, we will restrict the number of such incidents that we support. We only support drivers with default distribution kernels.

Repaired units may require re-loading of original factory software. It is recommended that customers back-up any important data before sending in unit for repair.

LinuxCertified reserves the right to replace any product with a comparable model in lieu of repairing the defective unit. This decision is solely at the discretion of LinuxCertified.

We ship repaired units using UPS or Fedex Ground. If expedited shipment is needed, customer will need to pay the difference in cost.

For customers outside USA: While LinuxCertified will pay for shipping charges for returning the reparied systems, you will be responsible for any customs or brokerage fees incurred in the process.
